Meet Mrs. Thomas

Hello! My name is Mrs. Thomas, and I am excited to be part of the Oakview Elementary community!

I have worked in education for many years in a variety of roles and grade levels, including elementary and middle school. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from San Diego State University and my Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. I love creating a classroom where students feel welcomed, supported, challenged, and excited to learn.

One of my favorite things about teaching is getting to know my students as individuals and helping them recognize just how much they are capable of accomplishing. I believe our classroom should be a community where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, try new things, and grow.

A Little About Me

When I’m not teaching, family is a huge part of my life. I am a mom of six and a grandma, and I love spending time with my family. Music is also a big part of our lives, and I enjoy being involved with the Student Orchestras of Greater Olympia. I also love traveling, spending time outdoors, reading, and finding new adventures.

I am looking forward to a wonderful school year filled with learning, growth, laughter, and great memories!
